OAA 2012 Award Winners Announced
April 12, 2012
The Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) recently announced the 2012 award winners, representing the best in architectural design and innovation in the province. The Awards include honours for both emerging new talent and some of the province's established firms.
Ontario architects were honoured for 15 new building projects across Ontario in Toronto, Mississauga, Ottawa, Mulmur, Nobel and Peterborough as well as in Montreal and Phuket, Thailand. The Awards committee had more than 160 submissions to choose from, highlighting a building's sustainability efforts, creativity, good design/business and overall context.
The Awards aim to celebrate and encourage forward-thinking design and leadership in architecture, with more than 30 winners in nine categories being recognized at the formal ceremony in Ottawa this coming May.
